Mental Health Programs & Services
All Mental Health Programs are designed to provide persons with serious
and persistent mental illnesses the
opportunity to live as independently as possible, in an affordable
residential environment of choice, compatible with their individual needs.
Focus is on assisting clients in developing and maintaining skills and
accessing community resources in order to enhance their recovery.
Highly individualized support services are provided by teams of workers,
according to the participant's rehabilitation plan.
Participants in the support programs live in a variety of settings as follows:
Supported Independent Living Program

Participants live in market housing and receive a rental subsidy
- Support and subsidy available
while people are actively participating in the program
Community Living Program
- No rental subsidy provided. Support services only
Shared Housing Program
- Three residential homes, each shared by five adults
Private bedrooms
- Subsidized rents
Gilmore Transitional House
- Short term transitional accommodation that provides more intensive support services
than our other programs
Rent Supplements
- Provides a rental subsidy only
- There is no support component in this program
- Supplements may be available to graduates of other Progressive Housing
programs
