Rose Bergen (President)
Having worked on the boards of non-profit societies,
Rose brings her expertise to Progressive Housing's Board of Directors as President.
Her experience with housing issues has helped her understand the importance of providing
safe, affordable housing and the link between housing and health. |

Jenny Katayama (Vice President)
Jenny believes that things we do today will make a difference tomorrow.
She is excited about the future of our community and the role Progressive Housing Society plays in it.
Jenny brings over 12 years of experience in the financial industry as well as undoubted enthusiasm to Progressive Housing Society.
In addition to serving on the board, She is an active member of Burnaby Board of Trade as well as Tricities Chamber of Commerce.

Jon Satok (Treasurer)
Jon is originally from Toronto but has lived
in the Lower Mainland for the last two years. For the last eight years he has worked
in the stock market and transferred to Vancouver due to his job. Having volunteered
in various capacities in the past, he joined the board because of his interest in
the plight of the homeless, especially considering the prevalence of homelessness
in Vancouver.

Doris Routliffe (Secretary)
Doris has been involved in volunteering since
the 1950s. Since coming to Burnaby in 1991, Doris has been very active serving in
various volunteer positions for such organization as the the United Church New Haven
Care Home and German Canadian Care Home; the Youth Secure Custody Center, Red Cross
Equipment Loan Service, Burnaby Citizen Support Services, and the Burnaby Citizens
Crime Watch Patrol. She is very committed to promoting Progressive Housing's services
to the community.

Michael Sandler (Director)
Michael brings
a decade of experience in health care as well as a background in program organization
and delivery to the PHS team. Michael's focus is to ensure that services for mental
illness and homelessness within the Burnaby area grow to meet the ever-increasing
demand for this type of service. |

Gorden Zelezinsky (Director)
Gorden is originally
from Ontario and relocated to British Columbia in 1995. He has experienced the services
of Progressive Housing Society firsthand and is well-acquainted with the needs of
its clients.Gorden is also co-chair of the Program Participant Advisory Committee
(PPAC) at PHS. He brings a number of skill sets to the Board, having worked in a
variety of positions including retail, the service industry, and the operation of
an independent franchise. |

Anne Kang (Director)
Anne has been teaching
in the Burnaby School District as a music specialist and a Special Education teacher
since 2005. Anne serves as Director of Progressive Housing Society; Citizen Representative
of the Environment Committee for the City of Burnaby; and Musical Director, Youth
and Young Adult Leader and Sunday School Teacher in Tai Kong United Church.Anne
has a passion to help retain the beauty of the City of Burnaby and to improve living
conditions for all people.

John Morton (Director)
John is one of
the co-chairs of the Program Participant Advisory Committee (PPAC). He has been a client
of Progressive Housing Society for 11 years now, he has really appreciated the help he has received
over the past years and says that his life has been enhanced. John loves talking and getting to know people in the community, and really enjoys having the responsiblity and being
involved in the community which is a part of his reason for joining the PPAC. John has built strong relationships with his roommates and stays very busy and active volunteering in the community.

RAJINDER PANDHER (Director)
Rajinder has lived
in Burnaby since 1976. As a resident of that city, Rajinder is committed to enhancing
Burnaby's community services. Along with other volunteer positions, Rajinder is
also a founding board member of the Burnaby Multicultural Society and the Ethno-cultural
Advisory Association. Rajinder's kindness and sense of responsibility for helping
those in need bring a strong level of commitment and dedication to the PHS Board
of Directors. His community ties and diverse connections within Burnaby assist PHS
in educating the public on issues of homelessness and mental illness. |

Jaye Robertson (Executive Director)
Hired in April of 2007, Jaye comes to Progressive Housing Society with over 17 years of experience in the Health, Education and Social Service Sectors. Jaye has worked in a variety of non-profit and government agencies in Ontario and BC and has had significant experience in community-based programming and the implementation of service delivery. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Education degree in Psychology. |
